The name

This was the story that we told our daughter on so many occasions, and so there was no other candidate when it came to a name for the organisation.

There was a family; a father, a mother and a daughter who thought that their family would be much more beautiful with a sister, but they did not know how to go about it, so they set out to think and to search.

The father crossed cities, mountains and lakes, he asked lots of people and eventually, he found the answer: he needed to find a pea, the shiniest, the greenest and the roundest. It had to be a perfect pea.

When he found it, the mother ate it, and her belly began to grow, and grow, and grow, until one day she heard some tapping from her insides.

- Tap! Tap! Let me out, let me out!

The mother, shocked, told her husband and they set off to the hospital together.

- Doctor, my belly is talking, and something says that it wants to come out, but I don’t know what’s there. I only ate a pea, the most beautiful of all peas, maybe even the princess pea!

The doctor helped the mother, and to everyone’s surprise, it was not a pea, but a beautiful baby girl whose parents named her Izas.
All of them together, the parents and the two sisters, went home.

Izas was a beautiful child, with golden hair, big honey-coloured eyes like the sun – as sweet as she was – a button nose, strawberry mouth and butterfly ears. The family became what they had always wanted to be.
